1. First of all congrats on the success with "Amir James" What was your vision behind starting your own brand?

The vision initially was to have something of our own. So often we are under represented. We saw a void within the culture with hopes to fill it.

2. We see different people sporting your line, How does that make you feel?

It's sort of like reaffirmation. When you're creating something it can easily be missed. It's so many things being thrown and advertised to us on a daily that if you made it through and still thought to get behind our movement it makes us feel as it we're doing something. Whenever  you have someone or people who can appreciate something you created, it's always appreciated.

3. What's your favorite clothing line out beside your own?

Ralph Lauren. The way they play with patterns and pantones really sets them apart from anyone else.

4. Advice for young designers inspiring to follow your path and dive into the fashion world?

Don't be afraid to take your losses. And don't look at them as discouragement. A lot of times not having the right foundation around you allows you to get comfortable enough to stop midway through when you face some type of adversity. It's life. Keep Going.

5. What's next for Amir James Clothiers?

We're working on some campaigns from our upcoming Fall pieces and really focusing on telling our story.

6. Best Album of 2018 & Why?

Nipsey Hussle "Victory Lap". The entire presentation of the body of work. From the rollout to the album release to the music to the way he made you feel and inspired you from his perspective. He took you back to the essence and gave a sense of purpose and direction in how he was moving.
